RSS notification
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a Web standard used for syndicating frequently-updated content to readers. Only two things are required: a connection to the Internet and a way to read news items, either an e-mail or reader application, or a Web service.
Why subscribe via RSS? Well, once you get more than a handful of news feeds to monitor, it’s just so much easier to have them all in one place. Then, you can go and look to see what’s new whenever you want. Besides, it’s the cool thing to do.
Online services
We’ve used Bloglines and Google Reader because they’re free and they handle a lot of feeds pretty well. You can share a view of your public feeds with others.
Desktop applications
Outlook and Apple Mail support RSS feeds right out of the box. Of course, you can also download programs to your computer and subscribe to news feeds that way.
To subscribe to an RSS feed in a desktop application, click on the RSS button and you will be prompted to open your news reader or email program. Now, you will be notified when there is new content from this feed.
E-mail subscription
Enter your name and e-mail address and we’ll send you an e-mail whenever this site is updated. We promise we will never sell or exchange your address. (All fields are required.)
